30 Really Isn't all that bad!

My Good Friend Donna called me last week and said we should make a commitment to each other to blog again.  So today on my 30th birthday...I'm gonna give the blogging thing a try again

The 20's were so so so good to me.  I married the man I lusted after in high school, we bought a house, had a beautiful baby boy, completely remodeled that house, had a beautiful baby girl and bought our second house. We went on vacations, made and lost touch with friends, celebrated 10 years out of high school, celebrated marriage milestones with our grandparents and sent my oldest to school.  The 20's were filled with lots of beginnings for this crazy life of mine, lots of things I can't wait to watch flourish and grow in my 30's.

So today on this 30th birthday of mine I will not be sad that I'm leaving my 20's behind. I'll celebrate all that they brought to me and look forward to the future...because 30 is the new 20 anyway...right?!?!?

Weight has been lost but more needs to go away...

So I think we've already discussed that I have lost all of the weight I gained while pregnant...but since that date the scale hasn't budged :(. It's time to get serious people. I really have 40 good lbs I could lose...but I'd like to start just 10 at a time. So I'm gonna start running during my lunch hour. I'm gonna try the Couch to 5K program to be exact. I think I can do this and we all know that running burns a lot of calories. My goal is to run three days a week to start M-W-F and then try to do 20 minutes of pilates on Tuesday and Thursday. I actually go back to teaching aerobics in two weeks so that will help as well (I'm hoping anyway). I just have to keep the eye on the prize and ignore the temptations I have a work...(um hello who's ideas was it to put the snack box right next to my desk?) So goodbye weight...hello water...smaller portions...and RUNNING (I'm real excited about the running...NOT). Wish me luck and help me stay motivated would ya?

Ugh...

Can I just whine a minute??? Please...pretty pretty please???

It's hot...like 96 degrees and it feels like 103!!!! My feet are swelling...so not attractive and uncomfortable. My back is killing me from my stomach stretching so far forward. My baby doesn't kick...it pushes as hard as possible against that growing stomach. I'm soooooooooo tired of wearing a bra...however I don't think the people at work would appreciate the girls hanging all over the place. More? Ok! I didn't sunscreen my legs or forehead Sunday when we spent ALL DAY at the water park...so ya naturally my sunburn on the tops of my legs really hurts...I'm turning green from all the Aloe I've been applying. The third trimester is kicking my butt...I'm so freaking exhausted!!! Seriously I've been in bed by 8:30-9 every night since Saturday :( My 4 year old has taken being sarcastic to a whole new level...honestly I think his goal in life is too try and be as cute as possible while being extremely sarcastic all at the same time.

Come on 9 1/2 more weeks I'm ready to feel "normal' (whatever that is ) again and meet that new baby!

THEN, there's the whole remodeling thing we decided to do with only 11 weeks til due date! Haven't mentioned that yet have I? Oh yeah so we're remodeling some space to make a new master bedroom suite...and giving the baby our room. So...painting is done in the new master and we won't start working on the bathroom part until fall or winter...but we still need to move into it so that we can paint and set up the nursery...oh and Rocky thinks he'll refinish the hardwoods in there too! I sure hope we can get this all done!!!

Dear people....

*That i work with there is a light with an exhaust fan in the bathroom please us it!!!

*That drive around our town...you continually tick me off when I see you throwing trash out on our city streets...Please FIND A TRASH CAN!!!!

*At the fast food Restaurants I've visited this week is it too much to ask that you please get my order right just once...I'm running to you because I need FAST food...not order my food pull forward look in my bag and go into the restaurant to get what I really ordered food.

*In my house I have LOVED LOVED LOVED being home with you every night this week and cannot wait until maternity leave from aerobics.

*In my aerobics classes...I have been eating slow fast food every day this week and not worked out be ready for next week :)

*Ladies on my August birth board...can't you play nice and be supportive of each other I've never been through so much drama...you should learn a thing or two from the Jan 06 mama's. I just lurk there now but they are so supportive of each other and have been through so many tragedies that have totally brought that group together...hopefully the trolls and mean people leave soon.

***Dear Baby...why are you only the size of an onion and I'm as big as a whale (really I've only gained a pound) none of my clothes fit and now I must go shopping to find something I can wear in public***PS your dad keeps calling you little buddy...but I see hairbows and dresses in my future...guess we'll find out in August :)

I think I'm falling for Edward all over again!!!

I love this song

...It brings back so many memories of my childhood. Our childhood home is about 10 minutes from where I live now...unfortunatley my parents divoced and we moved from that house but it still holds tons of memories for me. I actually cried when I first heard this song. I drive by that house often and sometimes wish I had the courage to go up to the door and ask the people if I could just walk around then 10 acres. I hope to provide memories in a home to my children that they'll always love the place they grew up.

TGIF...

Well kinda...I mean I still have to work in the morning :(

It's been snowing here all day and all I want to do is go home and curl up on the couch with a good book...however I know I will be playing trains or cars or putting puzzles together...watching "All Dogs Go to Heaven" for 7856 time this week and I still haven't gotten to the library to pick up the next book I want to read. I'll be start the "House of Night" Series soon....and yes it's about Vampires too :) Speaking of my favorite vamps I pre-ordered New Moon yesterday and it should be here on March 24th and I'm totally having a view party that weekend!

On the movie note...Anyone have a suggestion for a movie for the hubs and I to go see for Valentine's Day or a few days before or after. We have a gift certificate to Fork and Screen if you haven't been you totally should! That is if you live in this area. I've been checking on movies and nothing has really grabbed my attention yet :( I mean our attention...cause I'm totally involving Rocky in this decision...right...he picked the last movie.

Tomorrow Dalton and I are going to see 1 2 3 Imagine Elmo and Friends with my sister in law and niece...we went last year and the kids loved it! I can Imagine I'll be suckered into drinks...popcorn...cotton candy and awesome souvenirs!!! Oh well it's fun and I love date day with my little man!

Sunday is going to be devoted to cleaning the darn house. I've had no energy all week and finally slept well last night after crashing with Dalton at 8:30 (tell me what other 4 year old has a Queen size bed so he can convince mom to sleep with him) actually it was the best night of sleep I've had in weeks...I think the change of scenery really helped!

Frugal Living

A couple of my blog peeps...who are actually peeps in know IRL have been posting on how to live more frugal. I have recently come across a blog Pays to Be Frugal. Kristen often has awesome deals each day. Now not all of them will apply to you but she does make some things easier. Each week you can find how to match up your coupons and get the best deals at Walgreens, CVS, Target, Dillons and so on....again all of these stores are applicable to all of us but it does help. So stop by and check it out.

BTW saved about $16 this morning on my phone bill by canceling our home long distance (we have unlimited on the cells) taking off 3-way calling (not sure why we had that anyway) and they gave me $5 off a month for 2 years just for being a long standing customer.

My TV obsession...I think I may need an intervention!

I have a few blog posts rolling around in my head right now...but unfortunately I have been so exhausted every night after working all day teaching aerobics and taking care of my family all I do when I get home is what I HAVE to do and then I spend quality time with my DVR.

Tonight for instance I will have three hours of shows recording...

The Bachelor Jake has been the king of letting girls go before Rose Ceremonies and tonight I guess he has two roses left and asks not to hand them out. Woohoo. I don't know ya'll this season seems like the most fake one yet to me however I will keep watching because that's what I do. Here are my fav's for Jake.

Ella--She's seems to be the most down to earth and she's a mom with an adorable 7 (I think) year old son. And Tenley--The most genuine heart on the show.

I'll also be watching "The Secret Life of An American Teenager" I know LAME but something about this show keeps me watching. My other addictions right now include, Desperate Housewives...after not watching a whole season I'm stuck on it again, Brothers and Sisters, Keeping Up With the Kardashians (I know again LAME), Teen Mom (LAME, LAME, LAME) and Vampire Diaries just came back on last week and I don't want it to every take a break again!!!!

Plus Next week you know what's back on? Lost for it's Final season. *snif snif*

OK so since you officially know that I'm Lame now...Happy Monday!

My favorite part of the day.

Is at night right before bed. Now don't get me wrong I love being woken up (should that be waken?) by my dear lil man on some morning and hear him say "Mommy I need you" yes he's 4 but he still needs mommy to come in his room before he gets out of bed. I love the alone time that he and I have in the morning getting ready for school and work it's some of our best conversation time...and I love the time after work I spend on my hands and knees playing with trucks and tractors and legos. But I really really love that time right before bed that my husband and I spend just talking...no tv...no little voices interupting our conversation just the two of us talking. Now mind you most of these late night chats usually start with a sentance like "Dalton said the funniest thing today" or "Can you believe how much he seems to have changed just this week" but it's still "our" time together.

What really makes me mad though is when he is on 3p.m. to 11p.m. shift and I have to stay up extra late to have this chat. But my awesome man totally switched shifts next week so no 3-11 for awhile.

Speaking of the statements from that 4 year old here are just a few.

Not getting his way..."I'm just gonna be grumpy"

Asking about his day at school yesterday..."why do we always have to talk about this"

When we walked in the door from school..."I was thinking I will go down stairs and play my new computer...did you think that too?"

And my favorite on his counting page out of a workbook for school that has 8 birds on it and we're asking him to point at them and count them for us..."you're not supposed to count these just color them"

You really really should!!!! I almost cried many many times during this movie. It's based on a true story and makes my heart swell knowing that people out there still have this much compassion for others. I don't want to tell you too much but you really should watch this movie!!! This is what Rocky and I did yesterday for his birthday date. The last time we went to see a movie together was just about 3 years ago on Dalton's 1st birthday. It was nice to cuddle in the theater with my sweets :) We also were able to get almost all of Dalton's Christmas presents yesterday. All we have left are a new pair of cowboy boots (it's a tradition he gets new boots for christmas) some coveralls and a sled. We may hold the coveralls and sled for his birthday...which by the way is 10 days after Christmas!!! Poor kid has to wait all year long to get presents and then gets them in a span of about 20 days. Oh well that means he gets them good and used before the next year.

This weekend I also got to feel what it was like having multiple children. I had three extra kids this weekend...and have come to believe you people out there with more than 1 child must spend almost all of your "free" time cleaning the house. OMGness I don't think I set down the whole time they were all here except for to sleep. I told Rocky lets have two more...he says one more and were done...geez he's no fun...lol.

I L.O.V.E this time of year and hope ya'll are in full holiday cheer mode!!!

And my mad costume making skills! LOL!! NOT!! I so wish I wouldn't have put this off til the last minute but it turned out pretty cute I think for Dalton's Thanksgiving Feast at school!!!

I missed part of the day today so I could go take pictures...so I'd better get to work :)!!!

...are they gone? Whew!!!! Today we're talking bra's...more importantly my love for Victoria's Secret and the apology I have for them for waiting for...almost 2 years to buy new bra's. Ugh I know!!! Mine poor girls have been hanging for awhile! So last Saturday a friend and I went to the mall and the only stop on our list was VS. Again it's been awhile so I was surprised when I asked one of the ladies to just simply measure me so that I could find out what size I am these days...the royal treatment I got!!! She pulls out this cute little cards measures me and writes down my size and asks me what type of bra's I generally buy there writes that down too....I'm assuming just so I know where to look but low and behold she takes me directly to a fitting room where a new lady takes my card and tells me to step in the room and she'll be back. So I stand there just waiting when she knocks on my door and hands me a box FULL of different bra's to try on. How AWESOME I think to myself. I did find two perfect styles for me!!! Yay!!!

However a few suggestions Victoria's Secret. Next time can you measure me in the room? It would be a little more convenient than on the store floor and also I wouldn't mind a nice glass of champagne in the nice comfortable dressing room...oh yeah a few chocolate covered strawberries might be nice too!

You've got to be kidding me!

As of May 1st I will finally be able to upgrade my cell. I have had my heart set on a BlackBerry for about a year and half...just waiting so I can get the $150 off. The last month i've been getting online and looking at all the features of this great phone drooling and counting down the days til I can hit order this phone and have it shipped to me. Today I log on to do my every three day drooling and it's OUT OF STOCK!!!! Seriously! I've picked up some extra work just so I could justify paying for it and the services and it's out of stock!!! Well they had better be getting them back in stock ASAP!!!!

I'm still here...

I've been having a blogger identity crisis...in that I just couldn't think of anything to write or anything I wanted to say. Yes I Tiffany had nothing to say. AMAZING I know!!! But I have found that not getting my thoughts out has made me more of a boring person so here are just a few thoughts.

• I'm loving that we finally got DVR and I can watch my favorite shows after they've already aired and no I don't FF through commercials...those people paid good money for those ads (can ya tell I'm in advertising) so they deserved to be watched.
• I can't wait till we can buy a bigger house. Even though we will pay our first home off in 5.5 years a totall of 10 years and I'm proud of that but we really need more room or for momma to throw out some crap and get more organized.
• My son is 3 years old and is for some reason crapping his pants during recess everyday at school and I think he's doing it for attention of which he gets plenty of because HELLO you're an only child....and spoiled rotten.
• My heart melted yesterday when he ran into daycare and hugged his lil girl thats a friend. He talks about he constantly and she has even told me that she is going to come over and play at our house sometime.
• Soo....my new bribe is that if he doesn't crap his pants for a whole week we can invite lil G over for a playdate.

Patience Just isn't in my vocabulary

Every morning after coffee and feeding the kid, I go straight to my computer and check all of my mails and such. First it's facebook because it's my new favorite then to myspace...twitter...blogger and so on. Lastly is always my regular email. Why? Because I'm don't want to open my email and find out how many messages and comments I have gotten over night. There is something about the surprise of finding out when you log in to that account.

This takes me back to a story from my childhood. You see it was Christmas morning. I was a 5th grader and no longer believed in Santa, however since I had a younger sister and brother my parents said if you quit believing you quit receiving. All of us kids always slept in the same room on Christmas Eve so that we all came out of our room at the same time. Santa always left our presents from him unwrapped and my parents wanted the surprise to happen all at once. This particular Christmas however I talked my sister into going out and seeing what Santa had brought me and to tell me. I just couldn't handle not knowing.

Being the great little sister that she was she did it. She came back into the room and told me I had gotten the Dallas Cowboys Starter Coat that I had been wanting. While I was excited that I had gotten what I wanted I was also upset that SHE had ruined my surprise! LOL! We still joke about this store today.

Another instance of this trait of mine is that after monday night's bachelor episode I just couldn't stand not knowing who Jason is picking so I decided to search for spoilers and now if what i've found turns out true my heart will be crushed!!!!

So the conclusion of the story is If you're planning a surprise for me please don't tell me you have a surprise for me. It will kill me. And I will find a way to find out what it is!!!

I got lucky!

Once a month the radio station I work for takes a bus load of people to a casino about an hour and half away. It's usually a fun day and I usually invite my grandma to go with me. She's probably one of my best friends! I think we are a lot alike in many ways and let me tell you at 69 she has got to be one of the trendiest ladies I know! This trip grandma came along and so did my cousins fiance! Now the casino gives everyone on the bus $10 to spend and we're there for four hours. Back before we had Dalton, Rocky would go on the trips and it was our challenge with each other who could make their $10 last the longest and when it was gone we were done. Since he hasn't gone with me I generally take an extra $10 and generally lose it.

However yesterday was different. I was playing a penny machine and was just about out of credits when I hit one of the video game things and ended up winning $42! Woo-Hoo! I know it's not a lot of money but I had only used $5 of the casino's money so really I won $47. Thankfully grandma and Jessica had lost all the money they waned to and so we sat and chatted for over two hours and I was able to walk away with all of my winnings.

Today was a quite day at home just me and Dalton cause daddy was workin'. We lounged and played and napped and finally got lil man's bedroom organized again. But I do have one Daltonisim for the day.

D-"I'm big like daddy"
M-"Any Mommy too?"
D-"No mommy you're short"

Kids not lying I'm only 5'2" but what's a 37" lil boy telling me I'm short! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Excuse Me! When did 26 become Old?

Two weeks ago I had a few high school teenage boys express how "old" I am. We have a 16 year old who works part time for us and one day he was telling us how his parents should really buy him a Mustang while he's still in his "prime" years. I chuckled and asked him what exactly the prime years of life were. His response was 15 to 21!!!!

The very next day our paper boy was trying to make small chat with me I guess...I'd say he was 14 to 16 somewhere in there. Anywho he asked me how old I was...like 21 or something and I said no I'm 26. His response "You look really good for your age"!!!

I still remember being that young I mean seriously I've only been out of high school for coming up on 9 years. I don't remember thinking that 20's were old though! I feel like I'm still an adolescent besides the fact that I'm a mom and wife and I have a mortgage and other bills to pay every month. I still feel like I'm in the learning years.

Who are we to decided what is "old"? I think we only as "old" as we let ourselves be. My dad just turned 50 this January and the man acts younger than a lot of guys I know in their 20's and 30's and I love him for that.

So to those teenage boys who think they're in their primes I say "You haven't even started living yet"!!!

Dear Mr. Zit

Why did you find it necessary to pop up on my cheek this morning...the day before the AC/DC concert? Do you not remember that last week was that time of the month? Not only did you appear out of nowhere but you're not small...at all!!!!Do you realize that you're making my cheek look double it's size? Why me...why today? Is it because I haven't been drinking all 8 of my glasses of water every day...Is it because I'm horribly stressed at work and just can't seem to get ahead and my A.D.H.D is getting the best of me.

I know...you can't answer why...

But could you please magically disappear before tomorrow night? I would really appreciate my generally clear skin back for this fun date night with my hubs.
